Teacher Incentive Allotment (TIA) Program
Teacher Incentive Allotment (TIA) Program
The Teacher Incentive Allotment (TIA) was created by the Texas Legislature as part of House Bill (HB) 3 to provide a realistic pathway for top teachers to earn six-figure salaries and help attract and retain highly effective teachers at traditionally hard-to-staff schools.
West ISD is part of the Rural District TIA Cohort C with a pay scale range of $5,000-$21,000 for each applicable teacher (i.e., Met the state-approved application criteria). Since the 2021-2022 school year, West ISD has distributed approximately $600,000.00 in TIA pay amongst 39 West ISD teachers.
