West Independent School District

2025 Texas Education Agency A-Rated District

Assistant Superintendent

Assistant Superintendent

I am honored to serve the students, families, staff, and community of West ISD as Assistant Superintendent. Having grown up in nearby Abbott and lived in the West community for the past seven years, I have a deep appreciation for the values, traditions, and strong sense of community that make West ISD such a special place. As both a district leader and a parent of two West ISD students, I am deeply invested in the success of our district and in ensuring every West Trojan has the opportunity to learn, grow, and succeed.

As I begin my 22nd year in public education, I remain grateful for the opportunity to serve students, families, and educators. Coming from a family of educators and as a third-generation school superintendent, I have seen firsthand the lasting impact that dedicated educators can have on the lives of children and communities. Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of serving public education as an elementary classroom teacher, special education teacher, campus principal, superintendent, and assistant superintendent. Those experiences have allowed me to serve students and staff in both Hill and McLennan counties and have reinforced my belief that every employee plays an essential role in the success of our students.

My educational philosophy is simple: our soul focus is on student learning to maximize student outcomes. Every decision we make—whether in the classroom, on a school bus, in the cafeteria, in our offices, or in the boardroom—should ultimately answer one question: How does this improve learning for our students? When we remain focused on that purpose, every child benefits.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my wife, Natalie, and our sons, Noah and Evan. My family is one of God’s greatest blessings in my life. I am also grateful for the opportunity to serve our community through several ministries, including the Knights of Columbus and the Teen and Young Adult RISE Retreats.

It is truly a privilege to be a West Trojan, and I look forward to serving this incredible community for many years to come.
