Reopening School Tomorrow, Thursday, January 29, 2026
After reviewing the most current weather reports and checking road conditions across our community, I have made the decision to reopen all West ISD schools tomorrow, Thursday, January 29, 2026, at our regular bus pick-up and school start times. Please know our Maintenance Team will be on-site early to double-check all sidewalks and entry areas to the schools, and our Child Nutrition Team will have breakfast ready beginning at 7:15 AM for the students. Also, if your family needs extra time driving safely to school tomorrow morning, please take your time arriving to school.

• West High School Varsity Tennis Match vs. Whitney High School: Tomorrow morning, Thursday, January 29, 2026, 8:30 AM at Whitney High School
• Rising Grade 9 (Current Grade 8 Students) 2026-2027 Course Selection Parent Information Meeting: Tomorrow night, Thursday, January 29, 2026, 5:45 PM in the West Middle and High School Cafeteria and Auditorium
• West High School Basketball Games vs. Troy High School: Friday, January 30, 2026, Beginning at 5:00 PM in the West Middle and High School Gyms; including the West High School Cheerleader Cystic Fibrosis Awareness Fundraiser
• West High School Softball Scrimmage vs. China Spring High School: Friday, January 30, 2026, 6:00 PM at China Spring High School
• West High School Girls Powerlifting Meet: Saturday, January 31, 2026, 8:30 AM at Meridian High School

• Note: The West Middle School basketball games vs. Carver Middle School set for Thursday, January 29, 2026, were canceled by Waco ISD.
